Spring Salmon
Spring Salmon as we all know are the most prized fish in the Pacific Northwest, and the best eating salmon in the World! Columbia River Spring Salmon average 15-25 pounds, we start fishing these prized fish in February and run through June. In the Columbia River we use techniques like trolling herring with flashers when the Columbia River is in good water conditions or when its high we usually anchor and use kwickfish with cured bait rap or spinner and prawns.
King Salmon
Fall Chinook King Salmon are known to be the biggest king salmon on the Columbia River, averaging 25-30 pounds. It is not uncommon to hook into a 40-55 pound King Salmon. We start fishing these huge King Salmon August 1st when it opens while also catching Coho Salmon at the same time providing a mixed bag of fish to catch. Buoy 10 is known to be the hottest King Salmon fishing on the planet! Once these fish start moving up the Columbia River we follow them up river to the Cowlitz river and Lewis River to Bonneville Dam. Columbia River Fall King Salmon are not only the biggest run of King Salmon on the planet, but biggest in size.
